ANCILLARY INSIGHTS
Ancillary Insights is derived from goods or services other than a company's primary product offering. In the airline industry, ancillary revenue is revenue from non-ticket sources, such as baggage fees and on-board food and services. Airlines globally projected to pull in a record $82 billion in ancillary revenue last year, up nearly fourfold from 2010.

We built a system for a major airlines carrier, that facilitated in-depth evaluation of how various brands are performing, and helped in identifying untapped opportunities, utilizing in-sights from existing sales and transaction data. We developed a Data Lake, using a Hadoop based cluster. Data was ingested from existing legacy ecosystem and Salesforce system. The system provided two insights from existing salesforce data in addition to daily and weekly reports based on transactional data.
